I was born in Houston and have been in Austin for over 9 years. Being outside is one of my favorite things. I am in my garden almost everyday. On the weekends you can often find me with my family swimming in our secret spot at the creek, gardening, or hiking/walking.

As a creative person I usually have at least one project I am working on at any given time. Painting, crocheting, drawing, or some type of crafting are regularly in the rotation. One of my crafts even lead me to start a business making paper flowers.

Carefully Crafted was founded to create one of a kind art people can enjoy in their homes or at their events. As an entrepreneur I have learned so much and overcome many hurdles. Creating a brand, writing content, and managing the day to day operations are just a few things I have taught myself. I have enjoyed the hands on aspect but I have also enjoyed the many digital projects that have gone along with it. Designing a website, managing social media accounts and analytics, operating the sales platform are just a few of the projects I accomplished over the years.

While I do still have my Etsy shop and website, I have scaled back and only occasionally take on new clients for Carefully Crafted. Running a business is not the path I would like my career to take.

My most recent experience involves a position as an accounting assistant and a marketing associate for a company called Royalty Clearinghouse. You can find content from the blog and social media I created under the designs tab above. Unfortunately the company had to severely downsize, so I am currently on the hunt for a new job opportunity.

The skills I have acquired from my previous jobs are transferable for all marketing environments. Whether it is data entry, project management, content creation all will be beneficial to future employment opportunities.
